11. Ole Miss Rebels (10-3)
The Rebels were motivated to prove they belonged in the playoffs and created a team depleted of talent. Duke team at the Gator Bowl. It was, however, one of the only late-season highlights for a team that wanted more in 2024.
12. Clemson Tigers (10-4)
Winning the ACC title was as good as it got for the Tigers, who were blown away by all three SEC teams they faced (including Texas in the first round of the playoffs). Victory at the end of the game EMS in the championship title game was Clemson’s best.
13. SMU Mustangs (11-3)
Speaking of the Mustangs, Kevin Jennings and the SMU offensive line ran into a State of Pennsylvania made a splash in the first round of the playoffs and never had a chance on the road. Either way, an 11-win season in year one in the ACC is something to build on.
