FT: Newcastle 1-4 Bournemouth
Bournemouth
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola addresses BBC Match of the Day: “It was very, very good. I’m very proud of the players. We played very well and a very mature match. I can’t stay long. It was a fully deserved victory. They’re a very good team and you can I never feel confident because they always push but we played a very complete match.
“Until they scored we played very well. We were brave and created chances. We finished strong and hats off to my players. I can’t say anything else.
“It’s hard to find a better victory, it’s very difficult. We came into this game very thin and everyone played their role and a little more. As a manager you are very proud. We have very young players – centre-backs and a left-back and Lewis Cook playing out of position – and having to compete against top players. They were fantastic.
“I was worried when I arrived because the difficulty of the match is very difficult. They are flying. I was quite confident thanks to Chelsea’s performance in the second half. I saw how we handled this difficult situation. We did very well .
“Justin (Kluivert) was incredible. His duels and his defensive work were also very good. He scored some very, very nice goals. I’m happy for him and for everyone. The club is working on a center forward but the winter window is difficult, especially for this position.
