Christine Quinn is building her own new beginning.
Ten months after his painful separation, Selling the Sunset alumna, 36, has officially returned to her home state of Texas, where she is putting down roots with her three-year-old son Christian Georges and embracing a new life with the support of her family.
PEOPLE got an exclusive sneak peek inside her new abode and caught up with the real estate agent and model about how she and her son have adjusted to life outside the reality TV spotlight.
“I’m really, really grateful to live here,” Quinn tells PEOPLE from her home near Dallas, adding that it’s a blessing “to be close to my family.” I have a sister who lives very close to me and my son has a cousin. So that’s definitely something I needed, as opposed to the chaos when I was in LA.

When she arrived in Texas, fleeing her toxic and crumbling 3-year marriage to ex Christian Dumontet in 2024, the former Oppenheim Group agent explains that she needed to “find (housing) extremely quickly” , she is currently renting an apartment. house that she “loves” and is currently decorating.
‘I found a beautiful house,’ the luxury real estate agent who announced she was leaving her Netflix hit Selling the Sunset after 5 seasons in 2022, in shares. “I would say it’s 60% done, but there are still some things I want to do and really take it to the next level because I love interior design.”

THE How to be a boss The author’s idea of ”comfortable” may not be to everyone’s taste, but it should come as no surprise to those familiar with his eye-catching style of Selling the Sunset or her gothic winter wonderland wedding 2019.
“I love black walls and tapestries and wallpaper, and then I bring in a lot of mid-century furniture. Lots of gold, lots of plants, lots of green in my kitchen. It’s kind of my general aesthetic and the world I like to play in.
She adds that the design aesthetic she’s going for in her new place is very similar to her old home in Los Angeles, as she “pretty much did all the interior design” there.

As for how her son is adjusting to his new life in Texas, Quinn says, “He loves it.”
Before their move, the star revealed she was “really worried” about the toddler, who she said was “non-verbal.” Since moving, she says he is now a “complete chatterbox.”
“It’s been so crazy since I moved to Texas. I mean, he was literally a non-verbal child at three years old, which is pretty rare,” she told PEOPLE. “He went from there to being immediately enrolled in school, to having other kids around him, to being so talkative, so outgoing.”
She adds that her son has been in an “intensive therapy” program for months. Although they still work a lot, she notes, the change in his environment has helped him come out of his shell.
“Children are the product of the effects of their environment. And I hope that’s showing up now,” Quinn says.

Quinn’s decision comes after her highly publicized split from her now estranged husband and the father of her son.
Dumontet was arrested in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident involving their son in March 2024, then was arrested again for violating an emergency protection order that Quinn said she had been granted. In April 2024, he officially filed for divorce from Quinn after just over three years of marriage.
Although Quinn confirms that the divorce proceedings are still ongoing, she says she is “very optimistic that it will be over soon.”
