Today, the Columbus Blue Jackets, the National Hockey League (NHL) and Fanatics, the League’s authentic supplier, revealed the 2025 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series uniforms between the Blue Jackets and the Detroit Red Wings. The milestone event, marking the 43rd outdoor game of the league’s regular season, will be played at the iconic Ohio Stadium, home of the Ohio State Buckeyes, on March 1, 2025. The uniforms, designed by Fanatics with the contribution and alignment of both teams and the League, highlight the distinct cultural and historical identities of Columbus and Detroit.
Starting today, 2025 NHL Stadium Series jerseys are available for pre-order exclusively at The Blue Line stores at Nationwide Arena and Polaris Fashion Place, as well as online at www.TheBlueLineOnline.com, through February 4. available to purchase and collect in early February, other exclusive Stadium Series team items are on sale now.
The Blue Jackets uniform pays homage to the rich history of Ohio and Columbus. The design takes inspiration from the uniforms worn by the Union Army, with the jersey featuring several military-style details, including:
- A herringbone sleeve band indicating the rank insignia of the period.
- Shoulder adorned with new “CBJ” branding surrounding two crossed hockey sticks, a nod to the unit designation pins worn on the front of soldiers’ soft caps.
- A front patch depicting “The Cannon”, derived from the Blue Jackets alternate logo and a key feature of any Columbus Blue Jackets home game, colored with new silver and red metallic accents.
