LIV Golf announced a multi-year media rights deal with Fox Sports on Thursday that will see all of its tournament rounds broadcast live on one of the Fox family’s networks.
The US deal will see LIV Golf pay rights – a change from the revenue sharing deal LIV had with the CW network for the past two years – while LIV’s own broadcast team will remain intact.
LIV Golf will continue to manage production and these costs.
Sports Business Journal previously reported that a deal with Fox was being negotiated.
LIV Golf said in announcing that more than half of the League’s schedule would be broadcast on Fox or FS1, but did not give a breakdown by tournament or round. Some events will be broadcast on FS2, Fox Business or the Fox Sports app.
The LIV Golf+ app will stream all courses but will require a subscription in the United States. Details have not been announced.
LIV Golf’s 14-event schedule begins with the February 6-8 event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, followed a week later by a tournament in Adelaide, Australia.
