Tim Tebow is going to be a father.
The former Florida and Denver Broncos quarterback and his wife Demi-Leigh Tebow announced Tuesday that they are expecting their first child, showing off an ultrasound and a baby bump in a tender Instagram video.
The Tebows first met in 2018, when Tim was trying to forge a career as both a college football broadcaster and minor league baseball player. A year earlier, Demi-Leigh won the Miss Universe pageant after being crowned Miss South Africa.
The couple got engaged in 2019 and married in 2020.
Demi-Leigh told People that she is currently 16 weeks pregnant:
“I’m very grateful because I just couldn’t imagine a better life partner to live with first of all,” said the former Miss Universe, who is now 16 weeks pregnant. “To be able to raise a little human being together. I’m so grateful that Tim is my husband…that we can be parents together.”
The former NFL quarterback, who was calling from Dallas as part of his College Football Playoff responsibilities, says the idea of becoming a father hasn’t fully set in yet. “But when I’m with her and I see the belly growing, it becomes so real,” he enthuses.
It’s been 12 years since Tebow last appeared in an NFL game, but the former Heisman winner remains a well-known figure in the football world, both in the NFL and the college ranks. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023 and currently works as an analyst for the SEC Network.
