Housewares company Kohler recently unveiled a new device called Dekoda: a $599 camera that can attach to your toilet bowl and take photos of what’s inside.

CNET reports that Dekoda analyzes these images to provide updates on your gut health and hydration, and potentially detect blood. It also comes with a rechargeable battery, USB connection and a fingerprint sensor to identify who is using the toilet.

The Dekoda is currently available for pre-order and shipping is expected to begin on October 21. In addition to hardware purchase fees, customers will pay between $70 and $156 for a subscription.

If you’re not comfortable about the privacy implications of installing a camera just below your private parts, the company says, “Dekoda’s sensors see into your toilet and nowhere else.” ยป He also notes that the resulting data is secured via end-to-end encryption.

Kohler isn’t the only company looking to take photos of your poop. We also talked about the toilet camera offered by a startup called Throne.
