The Cardinals are led by an interim head coach Frank Reichwho is 2-4 in his first season as a college head coach. Reich already has head coaching experience in the NFL.

They opened the season with a 23-20 loss in Hawai’i and followed with a 27-3 loss in Hawai’i. BYU two weeks later. They earned their first win of the season in their first ACC competition, defeating Boston College30-20, on the farm. They followed that up with a 48-20 loss at Virginia. Their second win of the season came on the last weekend of September when they beat San Jose State30-29 years old, at home. Last weekend they lost 34-10 at SMU.
