MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) — The Montgomery Police Department has arrested a third person in connection with the mass shooting that killed two people and injured 12 others on October 4.

Javorick Whiting, 19, was charged with attempted murder in connection with the incident in the area of ​​Bibb Street and Commerce Street. According to the Montgomery Police Department, Whiting was arrested Thursday and booked into the Montgomery County Detention Center.

Shalanda Williams, 43, and Jeremiah Morris, 17, were killed in the shooting.

The Montgomery Police Department also arrested Dantavious McGhee, 19, and a juvenile man on charges of capital murder, nine counts of first-degree assault and three counts of second-degree assault in connection with this case.
