ORANGE COUNTY, Florida. – A body was reported near Disney World Tuesday evening, according to data from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Call data shows the Sheriff’s Office received the report of the body around 6:40 p.m. along North World Drive, which begins just south of US-192 and passes Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Contemporary Resort and Wilderness Lodge.
Social media users on Reddit discussed the incident in a thread shortly after the call, saying the death had impacted guests at the resort.
The sheriff’s office later told News 6 the incident was an apparent suicide.
Meanwhile, News 6 has reached out to the Orange County Fire Department, Disney officials and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District for more information and is awaiting a response.
