Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary will contest from Tarapur, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha from Lakhisarai, State Minister Nitin Nabin from Bankipur and Renu Devi will contest from Bettiah.
Tarapur was one of the seats said to be a flashpoint between the BJP and its ally, Janata Dal United. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reportedly wanted the seat to remain under the JD(U) quota.
News18 Hindi reported that the BJP was considering alternative constituencies for Choudhary, including Kumhrar or Patna Sahib of Patna, as part of its plan B.
State minister Nitish Mishra is seeking re-election from the Jhanjharpur seat, and shooter and politician Shreyansi Singh is seeking another term in Jamui.
According to the list, the BJP has fielded nine female candidates so far.
The nomination process for the two-phase ballot is underway.
The Assembly, made up of 243 members, will go to the polls on November 6 and 11. The result will be announced on November 14.
NDA Seat Sharing Plan
The BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each, the LJP (Ram Vilas) – 29 seats, and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) as well as Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) – six seats each.
