9-1-1 Season 7 co-creator and showrunner Tim Minear told TVLine that Reis “was kind of ready to move on,” explaining, “I reached out to Marcanthonee, who hadn’t been there for a while.” minute, and I presented this story to him. I think he loved the story, but he was just ready to do something new.
