8-year-old freed from kidnapping attempt in Ravenswood – NBC Chicago

An 8-year-old boy escaped a driver attempting to abduct him Monday in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood, police said.
The boy was walking with his guardian at around 2pm in the 2000 block of West Ainslie Street when a man in a blue sedan approached them and stuck his hand out of his passenger window and grabbed his arm of the child, according to Chicago police.
The boy punched the man’s arm and broke free, police said.
The driver fled west on Ainslie Street, police said. He was described by police as a white man in his thirties, with “fair complexion and wavy brown hair”.
No arrests were made.
