Eight people were injured on Saturday afternoon after an unhappy client led his vehicle to the exhibition hall of an automotive dealer in Inglewood, police announced.
The accident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. in a Carmax in the 8600 block of South La Cienega Boulevard. The man was involved in a dispute in the dealer beforehand, according to the authorities.
Of the eight people injured, two were taken to trauma centers with critical injuries. Carmax customers and employees have been struck, according to a press release from the company.
There was no death, according to the police.
The video of the incident published on social networks shows a hit by reversing in the exhibition hall while people disperse and shout to depart. The car then leads to the other side of the dealer.
The suspect fled the premises, then went to the Recruits Training Center of the Los Angeles Police Department, where he went, according to the SGT of the Inglewood police department. Cesar Jurado.
“The security of our partners, our community and our customers is our absolute priority,” said Carmax in a press release, adding that the company is working with the police in the investigation. “We are deeply saddened by this event and our hearts go to everyone affected.”
