50-year-old man found dead in fridge in Delhi’s Seelampur, police say

The body of a 50-year-old man was found locked in a refrigerator at his home in the Seelampur area of ​​northeast Delhi, police said.

Police said a caller informed them around 7:15 p.m. Friday that his relative was not answering phone calls.

When she reached Gautampuri, she found him dead in the refrigerator. Police arrived on the scene and found the body stuffed in the fridge, a senior police officer said.

The man was identified as Zakir, they said.

The preliminary investigation revealed that he lived alone in the house, while his wife and children lived separately at a distance, police said.

Legal action is underway. Police said they were developing a clue to a suspect in the murder. Further investigation is underway, they added.
