Five people remain hospitalized on Sunday after a Medevac jet carrying a pediatric patient and his mother collapsed in a residential area of ​​Philadelphia on Friday evening, killing seven people and leaving the shaken community.
The six people aboard the Twin Mentevac were killed, as well as a person in a car on the ground. At least 22 people on the ground were injured, including three in critical condition, said the mayor of Philadelphia, Cherrelle Parker on Sunday.
Officials are still working to identify the cause of the accident.
With at least 11 residential properties considerably damaged by the accident, the refuge remains available in a local high school, officials announced on Sunday.
The six on board were Mexican nationals, including a child who had been treated for illness at the Northern Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia and his mother, officials said. They returned home to Mexico after the girl’s treatment, with the final destination of the flight for Tijuana.

On Sunday, the four crew members killed in the accident were identified by the flight operator.
The plane had been piloted by Captain Alan Montoya Perales, 46, and Co-pilot Josue de Jesus Juarez, 43, spokesperson for Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, told CNN.
They were accompanied by Dr. Raul Meza Arredondo and Paramedic Rodrigo Lopez Padilla, both of 41, said the spokesperson.
Learjet 55 had just taken off and was in flight for less than a minute when he crashed in a residential area, the authorities said, engulfing five houses and several vehicles in flames and covering the area with debris.
Photos and videos of the crash show houses with burning roofs and smoke struggle. Some companies have also been damaged. The next day, the area was completed, with blackened cars left on the road.
The flight crew was extremely experienced and the plane was well maintained, said Shai Gold on Saturday, a spokesperson for the operator of the flight operator Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, adding that the company Coopé was cooperating with the authorities.
Officials do not know much about what did not work until the investigators recover the so-called black box of the plane, transport secretary, Sean Duffy said on Sunday.
About 150 people still work on the field, responding to the scene and helped the current investigation, officials announced on Sunday. Several municipal, state and federal agencies, including local police, environmental and transport services of Pennsylvania, the Federal Aviation Administration and the NTSB help.
A few hours before the accident, the staff of Shriners Children’s Philadelphia organized a sending gathering for the pediatric patient returning to Mexico.

Investigators looked for the vocal recorder of the Jet cockpit – which is probably damaged – and the collection of debris on the accident site, which extends over four to six blocks, said the National Transportation Safety Transportation on Saturday Board, Jennifer Homendy at a press conference.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro praised the unified response of local, state and federal officials during the weekend.
“We saw a neighbor to help a neighbor,” said Shapiro. “We know that there will be a loss in this region and we want to offer our serious thoughts and prayers for those who are in mourning.”
