Checks to a million dollars, questions about Sending federal savings to taxpayers and the future of the US government – all in a day Conversation for the richest man in America.
Sunday evening, Elon Musk spoke for about 100 minutes in a town hall in Green Bay, Wisconsin, while he approved the conservative judge Brad Schimel next time Election of the Supreme Court.
The session has become a free wheel discussion on Musk’s reflections on the future of the United States and the Government Ministry, or DOGE, While asking supporters of supporters and hitting Democrats leaders.
Musk said few concrete plans for Doge, but gave Americans an additional overview of what he thinks should be cut.
Here are the first five to remember from the Town Hall of Musk.

Musk, who started the event with a cheesehead hat, launched the speech by putting giant checks of a million dollars to two supporters.
These checks were controversial. Musk had initially offered to voters of Wisconsin $ 100 each to sign a petition opposed to “militant judges”. This would also give them the entry to a lottery for $ 1 million.
But that had to violate the laws of the States, and Musk later said Payment would rather be compensation for the winners to be the spokesperson for the event.
The Wisconsin Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul tried to block the gift of a million dollars, but the State Supreme Court refused to hear his case on Sunday.
High -level payments highlight attention to the judicial elections, which is fixed for April 1.
The Supreme Wisconsin Court has a liberal majority of 4-3, and one of its judges on the left, Ann Walsh Bradley, should retire – opening the way to a reconstruction of the ideological future of the State. Voting is also excited as a decisive test for the feeling of Trump administration’s actions in recent months.
During his Sunday event, Musk said that the elections would determine questions such as the requirements for the identification of Wisconsin voters in the Chamber’s elections in 2026. He said that it could, in turn, determine who takes control of the Congress and “directing the course of Western civilization”.
“I have the impression that it is one of those things that does not seem to affect all the fate of humanity, but I think that will be the case,” he said about the April 1 vote.

Musk began to answer questions from the supporters, in which he dropped his signs in his areas of concern for Doge.
“I think there are 20,000 people working at the Fed? It seems quite high,” he said. The Federal Reserve said it had provided a budget on pay for 24,553 employees in 2024.
Musk questioned the roles of these employees.
“What are they doing? And, you know, sometimes I wonder which one would win for federal interest rates. The board of directors of the federal reserve or an eight magic bullets?” He said.
“I think the magic 8 ball could win, you know, so I’m like, Magic 8 Ball is much cheaper,” he added. This comparison was the subject of a survey which he published on X in November, in which X users voted massively for the Magic Eight-Ball.
The billionaire also targeted schooling, saying that the United States had too few teachers while having too many administrators. Federal data show that more than 302,000 people were employed as school administrators for kindergarten in high school in May 2023, as well as 3.8 million teachers.
Antonio Gracias, an investment capital frame involved with Doge, went on stage and directed a presentation criticizing the way social services and Medicaid were disbursed to migrants illegally entering the United States.
A supporter, who said he had worked for the American postal service, asked Musk if Doge would examine his employer.
The billionaire did not seem to have a large part of a plan to share – he asked employees of ideas – but raised concerns concerning the prices of industries which depend on the local shipment at large volume.
“Some companies are not billed the right amount for the delivery of packages, and there are probably more general costs than there should be, which should be safe assumptions, I bet,” said Musk.

Musk said that his ideal federal government would be reduced to the President, the Attorney General, the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Defense or the War, and the Treasury Secretary – as the Cabinet of George Washington in 1776.
“If it depended entirely on me, I would be like:” Let’s put it back like that “”, Musk told the applause of the public.

Musk recognized the collapse of its net value, a large part of which came from Tesla’s stock prices from nearly $ 480 in December to around $ 263 now.
Musk has lost about $ 103 billion since the start of 2025, shows the billionaire Bloomberg index. He still has $ 116 billion in front of Jeff Bezos, who is listed as the second richest man in the world.
Musk said he was aware that his time spent with Doge could be blamed.
“In fact, it is expensive to be in this work,” he said.
“You know, my Tesla stock and the stock of all those who hold Tesla’s stock have been about two,” he said, adding that his role in Doge was a “very expensive work”.

A young supporter asked Musk if he planned to send checks to the taxpayers of the economy that Doge finds and when he could distribute these checks.
His answer: It is at Congress or President Donald Trump.
“Well, I guess we would need to succeed on a large scale,” he said. “We have made a lot of progress, but there is still a lot of work that we have to do.”
Musk said that his work at DOGE would benefit American taxpayers in other ways, such as reducing inflation or stimulating the economy.
“In one way or another, you will be effectively better,” he said.
