A 17-year-old was among five people injured in a mass shooting Monday morning in Parkway Gardens, according to Chicago firefighters and police.
Officials responded to a call from several people who were shot at around 12:20 a.m. in the 6500 block of South Martin Luther King Drive, a fire department spokesperson said.
The teenager was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm, Chicago police said.
A 30-year-old man was shot in the body, two 19-year-old men were shot in the leg and another, aged around 25, was shot in the knee.
All five victims were listed in fair condition, police said.
Police say preliminary information indicates the suspect may have been traveling in a black SUV.
No other details were immediately available.
