“Saturday Night Live” celebrated half a century of existence with a special hourly special hours that featured all the favorite tips of the series: Ca-celebrities, impressions, revals of characters, musical performances and intelligent references to current events.
The beloved Sketch Comedy Show broadcast his first episode on October 11, 1975. Sunday birthday of Sunday – broadcast live from studio 8:00 am at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, as always – has seen the return of many members of Cast Originaux, including Chevy Chase, LANAINE Newman and Garrett Morris, as well as ancients like Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Eddie Murphy, Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph.

Ryan Reynolds made a veiled reference to the drama “it ends with us”
During a piece of questions and answers organized by the veterans of “SNL” Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, the Deadpool star “Ryan Reynolds rose.
“Ryan! How are you?” Said Fey.
“Great!” He replied. “Why, what did you hear?”
Blake Lively, his wife, was sitting next to him and pretended to be surprised by his answer.
The joke seemed to be a reference to the couple’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni, the Costar de Lively on “IT ends with us”.
Aubrey Plaza paid tribute to her late husband with her outfit
Aubrey Plaza, who organized his first show in January 2023, presented the musical guests of the Special Birthday Miley Cyrus and Brittany Howard. She wore a shirt in Tie-Dye under a black blazer, a tribute to her late husband, Jeff Baena, who died on January 3, 2025.
When Plaza appeared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” in December 2021, she explained Baena’s interest in Tie-Dye led to their unique wedding outfits.
“Jeff has really entered the link with the forties,” she said. “So, I decided that Jeff and I was going to wear a tie dye pajamas he had done for us.”
Kim Kardashian seemed to ignore his ex-girlfriend, Pete Davidson
Popcrave published a regular “SNL” video Pete Davidson to speak with some of the other celebrities guests who attended the series. The images showed a potentially embarrassing moment, while Kim Kardashian seemed to ignore his ex-friendly friend in front of him.
In the short clip, Davidson then follows the people who walk behind her. It is not clear if they spoke later.
The pair dated for nine months between October 2021 and August 2022 before their friendly rupture.
Jack Nicholson made his first appearance on the screen in 10 years
Jack Nicholson, who is best known for films like “The Shining” and “One flew over the cuckoo nest”, was also present. He marked his first appearance on the screen in a decade after the 40th anniversary of “SNL” in 2015.
He presented Adam Sandler, his “Happy Gilmore” Costar, who sang a song on the show. At the start of his performance, Sandler said: “Let’s listen to it for Jack, baby! Jack was made tonight. I love you, brother.”
Bill Hader has not returned for the birthday

Bill Hader played on “SNL” for eight years between 2005 and 2013, and many expected what he returns for the 50th anniversary. However, the actor was absent from the show.
A Hader representative told Business Insider that he was not present due to a “longtime schedule conflict”.
The fans expressed their disappointment online, because many wanted to see him resume his role as Stefon, the memorable correspondent of the party on “weekend update”.
Hader, however, made a pre-Pagina appearance linked to the birthday of “SNL”, appearing in the Renaissance of “The Californians” Sketch with the Costars Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen as part of an AD of Volkswagen.
