5 Biden’s Illegal Immigration Records That Have Already Been Broken in 2022

While Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas continues to claim the “border is secure” against all observable evidence, five illegal immigration records have already been broken in 2022.

The records, tracked by former Republican Representative from Texas Lamar Smith, a member of the Border Security Coalition, suggest that Secretary Mayorkas is not telling Americans the truth or has any idea what is happening at the border. Here are five horrible records that have already been broken this year:

First, a sinister step: The number of known migrant deaths at the border has reached 609 so far this year, up from 566 in 2021. This death toll does not include the many bodies discovered in rugged desert areas further north of the border in California. , Arizona, New Mexico , and Texas.

Second, from October 2021 to June 2022, Border Patrol recorded some 2 million migrant encounters at the southern border– an all-time record.

Third, in June alone, the border patrol apprehended 207,000 migrantsthe most on record for that month.

Fourth, the number of removals – formerly known as deportations – has dropped to an all-time high— from 267,258 in fiscal year 2019 to 59,011 in 2021. And sources within Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) expect even lower numbers this year. Deportations often exceeded 400,000 under the Obama years and 300,000 under Trump.

Fifthly, the number of visa applications submitted by illegal immigrants tripled to 6,200 this year compared to 2020. Prospective immigrants are now bringing these lawsuits because, after President Joe Biden’s unprecedented purge of immigration judges, they now believe they can win their case and stay in the United States, regardless of the strength of their court cases.

And then there’s this, which isn’t technically a record but something you absolutely have to pay attention to. Likely linked to the growing number of visa lawsuits, the Vera Institute of Justice, an open-borders nonprofit, just won a record-breaking $171 million contract from the Biden administration.

The award, up about $30 million from the Trump era, is for providing legal representation to unaccompanied children smuggled into America by Mexican drug and human trafficking cartels humans – children and adults claiming to be under 18, who are then airlifted and bussed from the border to avoid crowds.

Vera’s contract could be worth nearly $1 billion by 2027. Coincidentally, Vera has led the way in calls to “defund the police” and opposes immigration enforcement.

And now all standard illegal immigrant fugitive recovery operations have been put on hold, with staff being reassigned to deal with aliens who had previously received a lookout notice rather than the typical appearance notice.

When an alien is apprehended at the border and allowed to remain pending appearance before an immigration judge, they are supposed to receive a Notice to Appear, requiring their appearance in a specific court on a specific day. Certain key biometric data is collected with this notice of meeting. But issuing a notice to appear takes time and, in today’s mad rush to the border, would result in embarrassing crowds of migrants at the border waiting for their federal papers.

So, the report notice was used as a workaround because it doesn’t involve a lot of coordination – it just asks the migrant to report to immigration officials wherever they decide to end up. The problem is that immigration officials only found 600 foreigners out of the 34,000 who received notice of declaration and were tasked with finding. Meanwhile, at least 3,643 fugitives remain at large and no one is actively looking for them.

While overly sensitive online dictionary editors seem to be quickly and slavishly adapting to the waking language police, the word “secure” continues to have its common meaning – Mayorkais may wish to select a different word to describe the border under Biden. “Not secure” comes to mind.
