A press conference will take place tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Levi’s Stadium.
“Brock is a great leader and a fantastic representative for the organization of the 49ers, and we are delighted to conclude this agreement,” said the president of football operations and the director general John Lynch. “When we took him with the last choice of draft, we knew that he had the potential to succeed in this league, but we did not know how much he would become a player’s special. He played at an exceptionally high level since his takeover, and we are impatient to see him continue to lead this team for years to come.”
Purdy (6-1, 220) was initially drafted by the 49ers in the seventh round (262ND Overall) of the draft of the NFL 2022. Throughout his three-year career (2022-24), he appeared in 40 games (36 departures), finishing 722 of the 1,069 attempts to pass (67.5%) for 9518 yards, 64 affected and a score note of 104.9 in the air to go with 127 strokes (3.8 average) and eight affected on the ground. He also started in six eliminatory series competitions, completing 107 of his 171 pass attempts (62.6 pct.) For 1,343 yards, six affected and a scaper of 96.2, as well as 21 races for 98 yards (4.7 AVG) and a touchdown.
In 2024, Purdy completed 300 of his 455 passage attempts (65.9 pct.) For 3,864 yards, 20 affected and a 96.1 passer note to go hand in with career heights in precipitation attempts (66), yards on the ground (323) and precipitated touch (five). Its five precipitated affected have marked the most by a quarter of the 49ers since the 2012 season (QB Colin Kaepernick – Five).
After taking over as a quarter -back from the week 14 of the 2022 season, Purdy won each of his first 10 departures, which is tied for the second most important victories of a quarter to start a career in the history of the NFL (QB Ben Roethlisberger, Pit. – 15; QB Mike Livingston, Kc – 10; Qb Mike Tomczak, Chi. During his first 25 career starts, Purdy completed 477 of his 690 passenger attempts (69.1 pct.) For 6,508 yards and 47 affected with a scaper note of 112.6. His percentage of completion of 69.1, 47 affected and 112.6 passers -by in the classification of the 49ers in the history of the franchise among the quarters of which the first 25 career departures were with the team. His note of 112.6 passers-by in these departures is the highest of all the NFL quarters in their first 25 career departures for at least 1970.
During his first full season as a starter (2023), Purdy won the first selection of his career pro Bowl after having established the franchise records in a single season for the overtaking yards (4280) and the passer note (113.0), leading San Francisco to an NFC championship victory and an appearance in the Super Bowl LVIII. Its rating of 113.0 passers -by led all quarters of the NFL this season. He also posted the third percentage of completion in a single highest season in the history of the franchise by completing 308 of his 444 pass attempts (69.4 pct.). Purdy holds the NFL record for the most matches with touch -ups or more or a passer -by of 115.0 or more (15) in the first three seasons of a player. He also holds NFL records for the most matches with a smuggler’s note of 120.0 or more (13), 130.0 or more (10) and 140 or more (six) during the first three seasons of a player.
Originally from 25 years of Gilbert, AZ, Purdy frequented the State University of Iowa for Four Seasons (2018-21) where he appeared in 48 games (46 departures) and completed 993 of the 1,467 attempts to pass (67.6 pct.) For 12,170 yards and 81 affected through the air to go with 365 transport for 1.117 Yards (3.35 Avg.) And 19 keys for the field for the field. As a recruit in 2018, he won the honors of Big 12 Freshman of the Year and was appointed Associated Press First-Team All-Big 12 as a senior in 2021.
