49ers sign P Thomas Morstead and LB Chazz Surratt

The 49ers of San Francisco announced today that they had signed p Thomas Morstead and lb Surratt Chazz at one year. In order to make room on the list, the team has given up LB White dashaun and released p Mitch Wishnowsky.

Mercid (6-4, 225) was initially selected by the Saints of New Orleans in the fifth round (164^th Overall) of the NFL 2009 recovery. Throughout his six-year career (2019-24) with the 49ers, he appeared in 92 games and recorded 310 clearance covers for 14,142 yards and an average of 45.6 yards per clearance covers, while pinning 138 of his damage inside the 20 yards. He also launched 226 times for 116 touchbacks.
