40-year-old man shot dead in Garfield Park – NBC Chicago
A man was shot dead Friday night in the Garfield Park neighborhood.
The man, 40, was standing outside in the 200 block of North Saint Louis Avenue when another man got out of an SUV and opened fire on the victim around 10:40 p.m., according to the Chicago police.
He was shot multiple times and tried to flee but collapsed in a nearby open field, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No one was in custody.
