4 people displaced after fire destroys two mobile homes in Shelter Valley

Fire crews extinguished a fire that damaged two mobile homes in Shelter Valley Sunday afternoon and displaced four people, a Cal Fire spokesperson said.

Firefighters responded to the fire in a rural neighborhood on Lucky Devil Trail, near Broken Cinch Trail, around 2:20 p.m., Cal Fire Capt. Brent Pascua said.

Callers said they heard explosions and reported two mobile homes were completely engulfed. No one was injured in the fire which briefly threatened surrounding vegetation.

Three adults and a child were displaced by the fire and the Red Cross was called to provide them with temporary accommodation.

The investigation is looking into the causes of the fire.
