Newton, Mass. -Five cities in New England, including four in Massachusetts, have been named in a new ranking of the 250 best places to live in the United States for this year.
US News and World Reports recently published its “ranking” 2025-2026 The best places to live, which examined the parameters, in particular happiness, affordability, health care, retirees, desirability and the labor market.
“To make the top of the list, a place had to have good value, to be a desirable place to live, to have a solid labor market and a high quality of life,” wrote Us News and World Report in its ranking.
No city in Massachusetts made the Top 25, however, West Hartford, Connecticut, registered at n ° 19 on the ranking.
“The national average value of the house is $ 370,489, while the median value of the house in West Hartford is $ 372,249. West Hartford offers a higher life value compared to cities of similar size,” noted the classification.
The four cities of the Massachusetts named in the ranking stacked as follows:
- 51. Newton
- 224. Waltham
- 226. Somerville
- 231. Brookline
Johns Creek, Georgia, Carmel, Indiana, Pearland, Texas, Fishers, Indiana and Cary, North Carolina, has formed the first five places to live.
