4 kirkland products that I never thought of buying at costco

People talk about their worship for grocery channels like Aldi and Trader Joe’s, but you will have to tear my Costco card from my cold and dead hands. I love Costco. I go there at least twice a month, otherwise every week. I store my pantry with mainly costco products. Take a look at my refrigerator and you will find that most of my cheese has been bought there. If I am in a hurry by time, I count on frozen foods which are always basic products on my Costco list to help me dinner on the table quickly.

Many products that I buy from Costco are its store brand, Kirkland signature, including olive oil, nuts, feta cheese, even my daughter’s favorite leggings. But there are a lot of Kirkland brand items, I push my basket just after I travel the aisles.

During my last trip, I decided to try five new Kirkland Signature products. And four of them were so good that they won permanent spots at home.

Tortelloni with five cheeses with amonggiano Reggiano

I have already targeted poetic on my love of pumpkin and ravioli of bats sold in Costco around Halloween, going so far to say that I planned to refuel to eat them well in the winter. But I found my new favorite filled pasta. The five cheese Tortelloni with amonggiano Reggiano is cheesy, creamy and prepares in a few minutes. We appreciated it from the rescue (with Rao de Costco, of course) and in the broth with chopped vegetables, and the two were delicious meals. I even started to transform half of the package into Torted salad for our daughter’s school lunch. Look for them in the refrigerated section.

All the cod seasoned with the bagel

Although I generally buy frozen fish in Costco, I have not already bought any of their seasoned or breaded fish. And even if I like all the seasoning of Bagel quite well, I was not as good as other people a few years ago when the mixture was at the top of its popularity. However, the cod all about Bagel intrigued me. And after having it once, I always have it in my freezer until it is no longer available. I cooked it in my frying oven frying fruits from Frozen, and it came out crisp and delicious less than 15 minutes later. We ate it with roasted potatoes and a salad, but I’m really looking forward to transforming the fillets into fish sandwiches.

Slightly breaded chicken breasts

Even if I have a child, chicken nuggets have never been a staple in our house (until recently, I will come back). Of course, we sometimes command them if we were to eat, but I did not do them at home. Then, a local fast food restaurant opened and served a salad with chicken chips on the top, which prompted me to recreate the dish at home. And since then, it is a dinner that we have been preparing at least once a month. These slightly breaded chicken breasts of Costco will now be my go-to for this dinner. They are made from boneless and skinless chicken breasts and cook well and crisp.

Supreme cauliflower pizza

I am not unrelated to pizza with a cauliflower crust. My husband avoided gluten for several years, and the pizza of Milton roasted vegetable-room-rooms (which can also be found in Costco) was his favorite. So much so that we still buy it. I decided to try the Kirkland supreme cauliflower crust pizza, and it was just as good. It is covered with a generous quantity of vegetables, including peppers, zucchini and mushrooms, as well as sausages and pepperoni. It was very salty and the crust was robust like an ordinary pizza crust. I like to twin it with a simple salad or raw vegetables and a ranch. A quarter of the pizza packs 900 milligrams of sodium, but we only eat that only twice a month and keep the sodium of our other failed meals otherwise.

The bottom line

Trying a new Costco product can look like a commitment – they don’t exactly sell products in small quantities! But it can be worth it, especially if you find something that everyone in your household loves.
