4 injured, lanes shut down – NBC Chicago

Lanes were closed Wednesday afternoon and injuries were reported following a two-vehicle traffic crash on the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) in Chicago.

At 11:23 a.m. Wednesday, the Chicago Fire Department tweeted that the crash occurred in the exit lanes of the Kennedy at Monroe Street.

“Express lane closed by ISP,” the tweet added.

Illinois State Police confirmed that the southbound I-90 ramp to eastbound 290 is currently closed.

According to the CFD, four people were in critical condition, including one “very critical” person. They were all transported to nearby hospitals.
