33-year-old woman arrested for robbing Mountain View bank

A 33-year-old woman was jailed Thursday on suspicion of robbing a credit union in the Mountain View neighborhood, San Diego police said.

The robbery took place just before 3:30 p.m. at a branch of the Navy Federal Credit Union on Imperial Avenue west of South 40th Street, officer Robert Heims said.

A woman approached a cashier and asked for money, Heims said. She took the money, put it in her bag and left.

Near the bank, officers found a woman matching the description of the robber. Heims said she was identified as the thief and arrested.
