The Powerball® jackpot has been won in Oregon! An Oregon Lottery player matched all six numbers drawn Saturday night to win a jackpot worth $328.5 million. The jackpot has a cash value of $146.4 million.
The winning numbers in the Powerball drawing on Saturday, January 18 were white balls 14, 31, 35, 64 and 69 and red Powerball ball 23. The Power Play® multiplier was 2X.
This was the first Powerball jackpot won this calendar year; the Powerball jackpot had already been won in New York on December 7, 2024, by a ticket which won a jackpot of $256 million.
The lucky ticket holder in Oregon will have the choice of an annuity prize of $328.5 million or a lump sum payment of $146.4 million. Both pricing options are before taxes. If the winner chooses the annuity option, they will receive an immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5 percent each year.
Nationwide, 743,301 tickets won prizes in last night’s Powerball drawing, including 17 tickets that won $50,000 in prizes, three tickets (FL, IL, MA) that won $100,000 in prizes and a ticket to Michigan that won $2 million! The winning ticket in Michigan matched all five white balls, and because the player included the Power Play® feature for an extra dollar, the winnings doubled from $1 million to $2 million.
Powerball® tickets cost $2 per game. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. More than half of all profits from the sale of a Powerball ticket stay in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold. Since its first drawing in 1992, the game has helped generate more than $32 billion for good causes supported by American lotteries. Powerball drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery drawing studio in Tallahassee. Powerball drawings are also streamed live on Powerball.com.
