300,000 Ohioans Still Without Power
Nearly 300,000 homes and businesses in northeast Ohio were still without power Wednesday morning after heavy rains, including potential tornadoes, hit the region and downed power lines.
Widespread outages affected 334,000 customers as of 10:15 a.m. ET.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland announced mid-morning Wednesday that it was sending crews to assess “the extensive damage caused by yesterday’s storm.”
NWS forecasters also asked people to report any damage or flooding.
On Tuesday afternoon, the NWS issued tornado warnings for the Masury, Brookfield and Yankee Lake areas. Earlier in the day, the storm system triggered tornado warnings for locations around Cleveland, including Parma, Euclid and Shaker Heights.

Wednesday’s weather forecast for the region called for mostly cloudy skies with possible sunny spells.
Temperatures, according to the NWS, will be slightly cooler with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s.
