Do not look now, but the Seattle Mariners are on a little roll.
With an 8-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday, the M won four consecutive series. They are 4-2 at the first six games of a road trip of nine games, and after a 3-7 start to the season, they have won nine of their last 12 games.
Drayer: Rise of Cal Raleigh can be found on day 1 in the Seattle Mariners system
At 12-10 in total, Seattle is now second in the Al West and a match behind the 13-9 Texas Rangers.
Here are three things that stand out after the victory of the series in Toronto.
Rowdy’s big weekend
Perhaps a return trip to the place where his career in the big league started was Rowdy Tellez needed to get out of his prolonged collapse?
This was obtained a place on the list with a strong spring formation, but the first slumging base player had not provided much during his first weeks in Mariners uniform. He finally delivered an offensive punch required against his former team in Toronto.
Such on dominated the three games during the series, including the Grand Colem of A Mammoth, 430 feet in 12th round during the 8-4 on Saturday victory. This also struck a solo home run when opening the series and an explosion of two sleeves with a pinch in seventh round on Sunday.
This was successful in the final of Thursday’s series in Cincinnati and has a sequence of four four games of the season. Before the start of the sequence, he was 34 years old (.088 average stick) with a home run in 12 games.
With Luke Raley needed more in the right field due to the injury of Victor Robles, the M needs more what they got this weekend in the future.
The enclosure of the lifts picks up the rotation
The force of the navy is supposed to be their starting rotation, but they did not have much length from a group that MLB in sleeves launched last season.
Bryan Woo provided an essential distance with the start of seven rounds in the opening of the series on Friday, but Seattle obtained only 9 2/3 heats from Logan Gilbert and Luis Castillo the following two games. This follows a development at the start of the season for the staff.
Apart from Woo, which made at least six rounds in its four departures, the M only obtained two departures of six or more in -houses during their 18 remaining games. Gilbert and Castillo each made seven rounds once, Bryce Miller has not yet exceeded 5 2/3 innings in four departures, and Emerson Hancock and Luis F. Castillo combined for only 12 2/3 of sleeves in their four departures in place of injured law George Kirby.
The result is that the Mariners’ enclosure launched the second highest in baseball at the age of 90, which led to a rotating door of lifts by going between the Big League Club and Triple-A Tacoma.
There have been difficult times, but at the credit of the enclosure of the lifts, it was quite solid given the circumstances. The 3.30 era of the group is sixth in MLB and third of the AL, and that did this with a high level arm Matt Bash still in rehabilitation of Tommy John surgery from last year.
The series of this weekend was perhaps the best that the enclosure of the Lights had had all season. He covered 12 1/3 rounds and only granted two points (one deserved) to six strokes and four goals on bullets. This included four laundry rounds on Sunday and 7 1/3 two -point ball rounds on Saturday.
After authorizing 10 points in the series of three previous games against the Reds, it was also a big rebound for the group.
Cal continues to torment Toronto
This can be to the point where they will no longer leave it in the country.
Aside from all the jokes, Cal Raleigh continued to torture the Blue Jays who launch with another large series against the team north of the border. The SWitch-Hitting of M recipient registered with a safe blow in the three games, went 4 for 12 with three goals on balls and crowned the series with another Home Run at Rogers Center on the first round on Sunday.
Raleigh increased his career circuit to 11 against Blue Jays in 23 games, including the playoffs, which only drags his 12 career games in 47 against athletics for his biggest team. Its seven home circuits in 11 regular season games at Rogers Center are its greatest number of placed, which does not include its Home Run in 2022 playoffs.
The Home Run of Raleigh equaled the first basic player in athletics, Tyler Soderstrom, for the head of the MLB at nine years. He dominated seven times in his last nine games.
In relation: Why Cal Raleigh, red heating, uses a torpedo bat on the left side only
Maybe the best Raleigh moment of this weekend came on Saturday. After an outing to finish the fourth round, the starter of the Blue Jose Berrios exchanged words with Raleigh while returning to the canoe, and it was enough for the clear benches for a brief moment.
In his next stick, Raleigh has taken a tour of two two points in Berrios to take a 2-1 advance in fifth round.
After the match, Berrios said he suspected that Raleigh was relaying Pitch information when he was on the second goal of the fourth. Raleigh denied having relayed land, but said that he understood the reaction of Berrios. So, nothing came from the incident. However, Raleigh’s reprisals on the plate made a great moment not to be done.
