Congress deputies – DK Suresh, Nakul Nath and Deepak Baij – were suspended from Lok Sabha Thursday for unruly behavior
Three other Congress deputies, including DK Suresh, Nakul Nath and Deepak Baij, were suspended Thursday at Lok Sabha.
Opposition legislators have been expelled for unruly behavior.
The total number of opposition deputies suspended in Parliament now amounts to 146 with 100 legislators alone from Lok Sabha against which the action was taken.
The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, made a request in suspension of Suresh, Baij and Nath.
“This house having taken a serious note from the misconduct of Deepak Baij, DK Suresh, Nakul Nath in a total contempt at home and the authority of the chair by exhibition of signs, entering the well of the house … can Be suspended from the house to have remained session, ”said Joshi.
The suspension of more opposition deputies comes a few hours after the Bloc de India paraded from Parliament to Vijay Chowk against the government.
On Thursday, the legislators were expelled while continuing their protest showing signs, shouting slogans and tearing the papers and throwing them on the loudspeaker chair.
Earlier Thursday, Lok Sabha adopted the chief of the election commissioner and other election commissioners (appointment, service conditions and mandate), 2023.
Opposition deputies protest against the violation of the security of the Parliament on December 13. They demand a discussion on the issue and a statement from the Minister of the Interior of the Union, Amit Shah.
