3 arrested in shooting that killed 4, injured 7 others at rural California home party

KING CITY, Calif. — Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a March shooting by masked gunmen at a party in rural central California that killed four people and injured seven others , officials announced Friday.

All three people were arrested on several gang-related charges and included a juvenile, Monterey County Sheriff Tina Nieto said Friday. They face four counts of murder, four counts of criminal conspiracy to commit murder and seven counts of attempted murder.

Authorities said a group of masked men got out of a car and opened fire during an outdoor party in King’s City, a community of about 14,000 in the southern agricultural region. from the Salinas Valley, then fled.

Police declined to say whether they had identified a motive or provide other details about what happened, saying the investigation was ongoing.
