260 flight cancellations, over 440 delays at CLT airport on Sunday: What you need to know

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Hundreds of flights were canceled or delayed at Charlotte Douglas International Airport Sunday, according to FlightAware.

Around 17 o’clock, The airport issued a statement stating that poor weather conditions on Sunday were the cause of the travel problems.

“Heavy rains have disrupted flights across the country,” the airport wrote.#CLTairport encourages passengers to check the status of their flight with their airline before arriving at the airport.

In comparison, on Saturday, FlightAware reported 136 cancellations and 746 delays at CLT.
