25-year-old flight attendant found dead in Mumbai apartment with throat slit

She lived in her apartment in a housing company in Andheri with her sister and her boyfriend.
Mumbai:
A trainee flight attendant was found dead last night at her apartment in suburban Mumbai, officials said.
Rupal Ogrey, originally from Chhattisgarh, had moved to Mumbai in April this year after being selected by Air India.
She was living in her apartment in a condominium in Andheri with her sister and her boyfriend – who had moved to their hometown a few days ago.
Police have arrested a 40-year-old man, who works as a sweeper in the company, in connection with the murder of Ms Ogrey. He is currently being questioned by the authorities.
“The main defendant, Vikram Atwal, has been arrested and the housing company’s security cameras are also being scanned for clues,” police said.
About 12 teams were formed to find the accused, they said.
Police are also questioning the wife of Vikram Atwal, who also works as a cleaner in the company, they said.
Rupal’s family members had asked her friends in Mumbai to check on her after she failed to return their calls yesterday. When his friends went there, they found the apartment locked from the inside.
They then informed the police. Officials broke into the flat and found Ms Ogrey lying in a pool of blood. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
