24-year-old Brooklyn man shot and killed in New York; two persons of interest in police custody: police
A 24-year-old Brooklyn man was fatally shot in the stomach in New York City Saturday night and police arrested two people, authorities said.
Daequan Buckley, of Flatbush, was found with multiple gunshot wounds when police responded to 54th Street and Church Avenue around 8:45 p.m. in East Flatbush, officers said.
He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Two persons of interest were in custody, New York police said.
One of these individuals was found with a firearm on him, police sources said.
The motive behind the shooting was unknown, but a witness told the Daily News that Buckley was sitting behind the wheel of a BMW and was shot by a passenger inside the car.
Charges were pending Sunday evening.
