The release of the 2025 NFL calendar is officially within a week. The full schedule will be unveiled on May 14 and if you are looking for a way to fill a little time by then, you can read our schedule.
We will try to predict the exact clashes for some of the biggest matches of the year, including the opening of Thursday evening. The NFL will also hold a tripleheader both in Thanksgiving and Christmas this year and we will also launch predictions for these six games.
Remember that these are just predictions, so do not yet reserve flights or hotel rooms. In that spirit, let’s move on to predictions, starting with the first game of the season in Philadelphia.
NFL Thursday evening (September 4) Thursday evening
- Home team: Philadelphia Eagles

- Breakdown: The defending champion of the Super Bowl can host the opening match of the season, which means that the Eagles will be the team at home at the opening of Thursday evening. In 2023, the NFL put the packers in this game during the first full year of Jordan Love as a starter. In 2024, the League put the Bears in this match in the first year of Caleb Williams as a starter.
