Dates to know
February 18: From this date at 4:00 p.m., New York time on March 4, clubs can designate franchises or transitional players.
February 24-March 3: NFL Scouting Combine (Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis)
March 4: Before 4:00 p.m., New York time, the deadline for clubs to designate franchise or transitional players.
March 10-12: During the period starting at 12:00 p.m. New York time on March 10 and ending at 3:59 p.m. New York time, on March 12, clubs are allowed to contact and conclude contractual negotiations with certified players who will become free agents without restriction at the expiration of their expiration of 2024 players at 4:00 p.m. March.
During the two-day negotiation period above, a future UFA which is not represented by a certified NFLPA contractual advisor (“player not represented”) is authorized to communicate directly with the officials of the Office Front of a new club (excluding the head coach and other members of the club’s coach staff) concerning the negotiation of contracts. The club is responsible for confirming the status of the player as a player not represented.
No potential free agent without restriction is authorized to execute a contract with a new club until 4:00 p.m. New York time on March 12.
March 12: The 2025 championship year and the free agency signature period start at 4:00 p.m. New York time.
The negotiation period for 2025 begins at 4:00 p.m. New York time, after the expiration of all the 2024 contracts.
The first day of the year of the 2025 League will end at 11:59 p.m. New York time on March 12. Clubs will receive a staff notice that will include all the transactions submitted to the League Office during the period between 4:00 p.m. New York time and 11:59:59 am New York, March 12.
March 30-April 2: League annual meeting, (The Breakers, Palm Beach, Florida)
April 16: Deadline for clubs per hour, to test, to visit, to interview or to carry out a physical exam with an eligible player in his club establishment.
April 18: Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets.
April 21: Clubs with the return head coaches can start intersane training programs.
April 23: Deadline for the previous club to exercise the right of first refusal to restrict free agents who have signed supply sheets.
Deadline for clubs per hour, test, visit, interview (including videos and telephone calls) or perform a physical exam with a player eligible to the project at any place.
April 24 to 26: NFL Draft, (Green Bay, Wisconsin)
May 1st: Deadline for clubs to exercise a fifth year option for players selected in the first round of the 2022 draft.
May 2-5 or 9-12: Clubs can choose to hold their mini recruit after a three-day trip from Friday to Sunday or from Saturday to Monday during one of the two weekends after the draft.
May 12: Football recruit development programs begin.
May 14-18: First recruit of the NFLPA (Los Angeles, California)
May 20-21: Meeting Spring League / Accelerator coach (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
