The NBA is at the heart of the playoffs at the moment, but that does not mean that the eliminated teams are completely out of the image. On Monday, the League will hold its annual lottery in Chicago to determine who will win the best choices of the recovery of the June NBA.
As always, 14 ping-pong balls are placed in a lottery machine numbered from one to 14. The machine then spits four balls. There are 1,001 possible combinations of these figures, and each combination is assigned to another lottery team according to its record for the 2024-25 season. The team that first has the first combination of four numbers. The process is repeated three times more to determine who chooses the second, third and fourth.
After that, the order is based on the file. The 5-14 choices all come from unpleasant teams. The playoff teams choose from 15 to 30. The second round is then entirely based on the file, although in a few cases, the exact order has not yet been determined because they will be the opposite of where the lottery sends two teams linked to the first round.

Cooper Flagg is, obviously, the main price of the 2025 class, but it is far from being the only available star. Rutgers goalkeeper Dylan Harper should largely go n ° 2 in total. First order: the project has only 59 choices in total because the New York Knicks lost their choice due to a falsification survey in 2022. This survey revealed that the Knicks “violated the rules of the league governing the calendar of discussions on the free agencies of this season” in order to sign Jalen Brunson. Given the success they knew with Brunson, they probably do not allow tears about the lost choice.
As you surely see, most of the choice of the NBA 2025 draft were exchanged at least once. So who has the most choice? It would be the Brooklyn Nets, who choose four times in the first round and a fifth time in the second. Utah, with four choices, is not far behind. All this can and will change almost certainly during the project, when the exchanges of choice, especially in the second round, are frequent.
The NBA 2025 draft will be held in New York shortly after the NBA final. The event is divided in two days, the first round to come to Barclays Center on June 25 and the second following June 26.
