Kimi Antonelli gave his country crowd something to smile when he improved to go fourth, having apparently lacked rhythm compared to Russell throughout the session. Norris, on the other hand, made a trip through the gravel before returning to the stands.
While Piastri improved his previous round to go to second place, it was ultimately not enough to dislodge Norris from the summit, the Briton ending the session in P1 thanks to his previous effort which kept him at a tenth away from his teammate. Verstappen followed the third – the only Non -McLaren driver less than two tenths from Papaya cars – with Antonelli fourth and fifth Leclerc.

Sainz put his Williams in P6, while Hadjar, Russell, Alex Albon and Hamilton finished the Top 10. Fernando Alonso claimed P11 for Aston Martin – a team that led a different strategy by bringing down data on the hard tire during the session – in front of Pierre Gasly de Haas, launches Stroll, Lawson and Alpine.
Gabriel Bortoleto – who underwent an accident on Friday at the end of the FP1 – was 16th at Kick Sauber, followed by Tsunoda, the Franco Colapinto back for Alpine, Nico Hulkenberg and the Haas d’Esteban Ocon raising the back in 20th and last place.
With the last weekend training session now completed, drivers and teams will have a last chance to debrief and examine their data before returning to action for qualifications, which should start at 1600 local hours.
