2024 NBA Draft trade tracker: Latest NBA deal news, every pick traded in the first and second rounds
The first round of the 2024 NBA draft is in the books. two nights The selection process began Wednesday with the first round and will continue Thursday with the second round. After much suspense, the Atlanta Hawks used the No. 1 pick. to select the great French player Zaccharie Risacherwho was one of the four French people selected in the first round.
While the new prospects were the stars of the night, no draft is complete without trades. NBA fans didn’t have to wait until draft night to get their first real blockbuster of the summer, as the Knicks made a splash on Tuesday with a reportedly acquired Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn NetsThe Nets added five first-round picks in the deal, but none of them are in the 2024 draft.
A number of small transactions took place on Wednesday. Notably, The San Antonio Spurs traded No. 8 overall pick Rob Dillingham — their second lottery selection of the night — to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for an unprotected 2030 first-round pick and a swap of protected 2031 first-round picks.
Surprisingly, no veteran stars were traded on the first night of the draft. It will take until Thursday, or maybe even longer, for the biggest transfers to happen. Follow all the moves here:
