The 2024 Kentucky Derby sets off for its 150th renewal on Saturday, May 4 at Churchill Downs Racetrack in Louisville Kentucky.

The Oaks starts on Friday May 3 at 11pm UK time with 19 potential runners set to compete in the Level 1 competition.
The Brad Cox-trained Rateowned by Godolphin in the familiar blue silks, is the main competitor having won well last time against Our pretty wife.
But it was by no means a comfortable victory, with both jockeys bustling to get their fillies to the finish first.
This gives the underdog, Our Pretty Woman, a great chance to reverse form with big odds after posting decent speed numbers.
Where is my ring showed good progress to win the Grade 3 Gazelle Stakes after a clear second place behind Kinza at Santa Anita in the Grade 3 Santa Ysabel.
She clearly managed to win comfortably only to lose her first title and this defeat behind Kinza was mainly because she had no chance in the race as the winner had become clear.
It would be interesting to see her have a rematch, but regardless, this form puts her up there and she took the turn so well to take the lead, it really gives her a great chance here either way.
For a shorter odds bet, one that may not even need to be backed each way, but should still do so, is Leslie’s Rose.
The filly previously placed as a Grade 2 before winning the Grade 1 Ahsland last time out at Keeneland, beating Just FYI, who re-emerges as a rival in this contest.
Trained by Todd Pletcher, she has a great chance of adding to her victories for the prestigious race after winning it in 2021 with Malathaat.

Irish jockey Ben Curtis looks set to have a huge chance to make a name for himself in the United States after a bold move this season.
He put the mount back Honor Marie which is around 20/1 on the market with one week to go.
NOW Forever Young has a good chance of winning this title, but he must put an end to the long reign of the American winners.
The colt has already won four out of four, collecting £1.65 million in winnings, the majority coming from his victory in the Saudi Derby in Riyadh in February, with odds.
But it was a wider success in the Group 2 UAE Derby next time out at Meydan, beating Auto Bahn by two lengths, also as odds-on favourite.
The three-year-old had a strong weight advantage in this area, carrying 10 pounds less than three rivals.
He could be a bit of a nomadic winner with two Derby wins in two countries already, could he make it three?
The colt has strong odds either way while you can get a big prize to bet on for a straight win. Ferocity.
He has already won the Florida Derby and the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and once again has Todd Pletcher in the colors of the Repole stable to boost his chances.
They know how to win a Derby and with John Velazquez on board, he’s ready to pull it all off after winning by over 13 lengths at Gulfstream last time.
