Cargill Kitchen Solutions recalls more than 200,000 pounds from its liquid egg products, according to a press release from the United States Food and Inspection Service.
More specifically, the establishment based in Michigan recalled 212,268 pounds of liquid egg products which can contain a cleaning solution with sodium hypochlorite, the FSIS announced on Friday.
The four products issued in the recall produced on March 12 and 13 are as follows:
- 32-OZ. (2 lb
- -32-oz. (2 lb.) Cardboard containing “egg drummers of original liquid eggs without cage” and use by August 09, 2025.
- 32-OZ. (2 lb.) Cardboard containing “egg drummers of frozen eggs without cage” and “egg drummers without an outdoor Soutito of Huevo CONGELADO” and use of March 07, 2026
- 32-OZ. (2 lb
All the boxes made in the recall have the “G1804” inkjet establishment number on the box.
The potentially contaminated product has been issued to distributors in the following states:
- Arizona
- California
- Colorado
- Florida
- Illinois
- Iowa
- Ohio
- Texas
The FSIS said that there was a possibility that the product was distributed nationally, according to its press release.
A class III reminder is considered a marginal risk. This means that there is a situation where the use of the product will not cause unfavorable consequences for health or risk is negligible.
The FSIS said customers should contact their health care provider if they have concerns about a disease. Consumers can also file a complaint concerning any meat, poultry or eggs on the website of the US Ministry of Agriculture.
