To commemorate the month of women’s history, WORLD CAFE looked back on a century of musical history. Each week in March, we have identified separate moments of each year for the past 100 years, a quarter of a century at a time.
We started at the beginning of the 20th century (1925-1949), when women love Sister Rosetta Tharpe,, Maybelle Carter And Marian Anderson Open doors for the future success of women in music.
