The authorities fulfill an empty space in their investigation into a major ticketing scam.
Two people were arrested on February 27 for their presumed involvement in the flight and resale of more than 900 concert tickets – Taylor SwiftThe ERA Blockbuster tour – having a total profit of more than $ 600,000, the Queens District Prosecutor’s Office shared in a press release on March 3.
Pink Tyrone20 years old, from Jamaica, and Shamara P. Simmons31 years old, from Queens, NY, have been translated into accusation of the big second -degree flight, computer falsification in the first degree, conspiracy to the fourth degree and computer falsification in the fourth degree. They each risk up to 15 years in prison if they are found guilty, according to the district prosecutor.
“According to the accusations”, a Queens district prosecutor Melinda Katz said in a statement: “These defendants tried to use the popularity of the Taylor Swift concert tour and other high -level events to benefit from (expenses) of others.”
Katz said the two “would have exploited an escape through an offshore ticket supplier”, intercepting and returning tickets to generate “extraordinary profit”.
