A veteran researcher in cybersecurity says that he has discovered a secret database containing connection identification information for more than 184 million accounts on many platforms.

Data-Brushing Hunter Jeremiah Fowler said He found an unprotected database of 184,162,718 connection recordings exactly over 47 data gigabytes.

Fowler says that a small sample of files he analyzed contained 479 Facebook accounts, 475 Google accounts, 240 Instagram accounts, 227 Roblox accounts, 209 Discord accounts and more than 100 Microsoft, Netflix and Paypal accounts.

The data draft also includes Amazon, Apple, Nintendo, Snapchat, Spotify, X, WordPress, Yahoo and many other types of connection information, reports CableAdding that all of its full data has now been deleted.

With the scope of the information on display, Fowler says that victims are now vulnerable to several types of attacks, including business spying, phishing and social engineering, account takeover, etc.

He also mentions that government entities seemed to be included in the hack.

“I have seen many .GOV accounts in countries around the world. It could be a serious potential risk if one of these compromised accounts had a security authorization in sensitive areas of networks or state data. ”

The exact origins of the database are unknown, but Fowler notes that the password field has been labeled as “Senha”, which is “password” in Portuguese.

Fowler says that it thinks that it is “very possible” that a cybercrimiral is to blame, by far calling him the most reasonable explanation for the massive collection of connection data.

According to Fowler, the duration of the data has been exposed and if someone else has accessed the files remains unknown.
