SAN DIEGO –
An 18-year-old Riverside County man was killed early Sunday when he crashed his car into a tree on State Route 163 in the Mission Valley area, authorities said.
The Perris resident was heading south through San Diego around 4 a.m. when the Nissan Maxima he was driving left the highway north of Friars Road, struck a tree and overturned, according to the California.
Highway Patrol
The teen, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was ejected and died before he could be transported to a hospital, the CHP said. His name has been withheld pending notification of family.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation Monday.
