12 Spring Fragrances to Wear This Season

Looking to upgrade your spring fragrance lineup? Just as you are tempted to revise your entire wardrobe, the same goes for your perfume collection.

According to Roger Schmid, Bluemercury fragrance expert and consultant, the universal desire for a spring scent overhaul has to do with what’s happening outside. “After winter, we all look forward to getting back into nature, changing clothes and going outside,” he says. “And therefore, we are drawn to scents that convey that rejuvenation and reconnection to nature.”

Considering the focus on spring scents – all things gardens and flowers – it’s no wonder we all want to spritz on a new scent and capture all the vibrations of hot weather. “Gardens are the closest connection humans can have with nature, and spring brings them to life with an explosion of color and scent,” says Schmid. “Perfumers around the world associate spring with flowers, from roses to wisteria and all sorts of other floral combinations.” Almira Armstrong, perfume designer and founder of Lumira Atelier, adds that “creating a spring fragrance involves a delicate balance of floral, citrus, green and fruity notes to evoke the essence of the season,” she explains. -She. “Floral accords like jasmine, rose and lily of the valley symbolize renewal and femininity; Citrus notes, like bergamot and lemon, add freshness and vitality; and green, herbaceous accents, like mint and basil, capture the verdant landscapes of spring, anchoring the scent in nature’s embrace.
