11 Bit Studios Moves The Thaumaturge Release Date to March

The Thaumaturge will now launch a little later than expected, on March 4, although work on the game has been completed.

Writing on social media today, publisher 11 Bit Studios said it actively chose to delay the game due to “the busy February launch period.” This month’s releases include Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones (on the 16th) and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (on the 29th).

“The game is finished, but we want to give it space so that it can be enjoyed the way we think it deserves,” the publisher wrote in a statement. job on X. “See you in Warsaw 1905 and thank you for your patience!”

The Thaumaturge is the work of developer Fool’s Theory, a “collective of AAA veterans” whose work includes the open-world RPG Seven: The Days Long Gone and the in-development remake of the original Witcher for CD Projekt.

Officially revealed a year ago, The Thaumaturge was revealed to be an isometric RPG focused on character development and investigative mechanics, set in a supernatural version of early 20th century Poland.

Its story touches on the historical context – the annexation of Poland by Russia – with a supernatural touch, that of a “spiritual world ruled by hidden powers beyond the comprehension of ordinary men”.

Intriguing stuff – I hope it’s worth the wait a little longer!
