10-year-old boy calls 911 to report family’s quadruple murder-suicide

A 10-year-old boy woke up to “carnage” in his Oklahoma City home, with his parents and three older brothers dead, police say.

Authorities were called to a west side residence on April 22 after the child called 911 and reported that “everyone inside the house appeared to be dead,” the sergeant said. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department during a press conference. Once inside the home, Knight said officers found five people “unrecoverable” after what appeared to be an overnight murder-suicide.

“Make no mistake,” he continued, “what happened at this residence was nothing short of a massacre.”

After further investigation, authorities determined who the 42-year-old father of the boy was. Jonathan Candy had an altercation with his wife Lindsay Candy39 years old, before shooting him several times.
